The woman behind the words …
Your Coastal Connection prides itself in communicating businesses and organisations through no-fuss, no-fancy-talk copywriting and communications strategies.
I also LOVE developing social media implementation plans where we get to trial ideas, discover what works, find the right fit and sometimes take a few necessary risks to really connect with readers. From SEO content and ghost blogging, to copywriting for just about any form on-line and off-line….I am in the life raft and ready to save your communications!
“Your Coastal Connection blends an in-depth understanding of social, print & electronic media with content, copywriting & connections to suit all budgets.”
I’m based on the Mornington Peninsula where I get my coastal living fix. I have 25+ years experience in communications with a background in journalism, PR and media management, a swag of successful client communication projects, and an ability to reign supreme over the scrabble board! My skills have been finessed along the way with some lip-smacking communications roles and a B.A in Media Studies and Grad Dip in Crisis & Issues Communications.
I offer specialist communications services to Victoria Walks, Royal Flying Doctor Service, Conservation Volunteers Australia New Zealand, Parks Victoria Junior Ranger, Kids Teaching Kids, Cool Australia, Australian of the Year Rosie Batty and the Luke Batty Foundation, People and Parks Foundation and the Wellness Pavilion. I’ve managed media for various Ministers, coordinated Australian TV and filming location shoots and projects and worked with the Commonwealth Games 2006 media. I get around.
These days I get a total kick out of engaging readers with great content and copy and encouraging them to like and share, email to mates, whack it on the fridge under a kooky magnet, and ultimately to buy your services and ring your bell!
And I have the stamp of approval from the Clever Copywriting Community.
For creative inspiration I’m the co-founder of the Peninsula Writers’ Club, a gathering space for freelancers, authors, writers and those in digital and print publishing on the Mornington Peninsula.
I live in a little yellow house by the sea . . . and I like to fancy myself as a bit of a windswept coastal wayfarer (if only I could play sea shanties). I’m quite partial to a well brewed cup of tea while listening to the surf, or a trip up to the big smoke for a piece of the urban groove action. I’m also a paid-up member of The Clever Copywriting School.
